OPEN TO ARCA MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS

ARCA was challenged to institute an education curriculum that would benefit all members. The idea behind the program is to provide education that will benefit the new person just entering the industry along with anyone already in the industry no matter the experience.

This program will allow each participant to achieve accreditation in his or her field and allow them to grow with the industry learning other aspects of the roofing trade. These accreditations will allow the workers and the contractors to market themselves showing the rest of the community and industry that they have the education, skill, experience and knowledge to install roofs that comply with rules and regulations. With this in mind we have created a program that will meet the industry standards and code requirements.

If you are a student, code officer, municipal investigator or inspector that wishes to learn our trade please contact the ARCA office, via email arca@azroofing.org or call 602-335-0133, for preferred pricing.

Details of our Academy class on Foam & Coatings Part I:

Coated foam roof systems have a very large market share in Arizona. We also have a very large coated foam failure rate in Arizona. This class will teach you the correct information about foam and coatings, along with the do’s and don’ts that cause most of the failures. This class is just one part of a three part class. You will need to take all three parts to receive accreditation. The first part was the Coatings Class. This part will be foam and coatings. The third part will be the foam equipment course.

To all registrants

Starting this year we are providing 2 part classes that will allow you to achieve an accreditation in the class subject. You must either take both classes and test after with a passing grade of 70% on both classes or have taken the previously provided subject course, then on part II class you will have to take and pass the part I test along with the part II test. For the accreditation you must have a minimum one year’s experience in the subject matter and have taken the 10 hour OSHA class to get the accreditation from ARCA.
